Sunday: Day 1 Manyara
Drive south of Nairobi to the Tanzania border at Namanga where you change over to a Tanzanian vehicle and on to Arusha for lunch. Continue to Lake Manyara Hotel ovelooking the Great Rift Valley and the lake.

Monday: Day 2 Serengeti
Morning game drive in Lake Manyara. The flocks of flamingo on the Soda Lake are a magnificent sight and the animals you are likely to see are elephant, zebra, hippo, as well as the curious tree climbing lions. After breakfast head for the Serengeti. The terrain changes from highland forest to the vast open plain and boasts more than 35 species of plain animals - including the "Big five".Dinner and overnight at the Serena Lodge or the Seronera

Tuesday: Day 3 Serengeti
Spend a full day in the Serengeti Game Reserve.

Wednesday: Day 4 Ngorongoro
After breakfast drive to Olduvai Gorge, prehistoric site of the famous archaeological digs by the Leakey family. Continue to your lodge, on the rim of the crater, arriving in time for lunch.

Thursday: Day 5 Ngorongoro
Descend 2000 feet by Land Rover to the crater floor for a full day of game viewing. This 100 square mile natural amphitheater is host to an astonishing array of wildlife and you are almost assured of seeing rhino, elephant and lion.

Friday: Day 6 Nairobi
After breakfast drive towards Arusha. Lunch at Mt Meru Hotel. Recross the border and return to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon.

 

 

Tanzania Adventure Safaris - 7 Days

Day 01 NAIROBI / LAKE MANYARA
Transfer to Arusha, Tanzania through Namanga Border Post. Clear immigration and customs. You will be met by our representative who will usher you in for lunch. Drive to Lake Manyara (130 km), an area noted for its tree-climbing lions. Relax with a sundowner at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge before dinner and overnight.

Day 02 LAKE MANYARA / NGORONGORO
Breakfast at the lodge is followed by a game drive in the Manyara National Park. After lunch at the lodge, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater (90 km)and check in to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast, drive down into the crater for a full day of game viewing; a packed lunch will be provided, Note: travel into the crater is by four-wheel drive and a window seat cannot be guaranteed. In the late afternoon, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 04 NGORONGORO / SERENGETI
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti Game Reserve, with lunch en route to the Serena Serengeti Lodge (180 km). En route visit Olduvai Gorge , the site of the by a bush barbecue dinner (subject to weather conditions) and overnight at the lodge.

Day 05 WESTERN SERENGETI
An opportunity to enjoy an early morning balloon flight over the Serengeti, which includes a bubbly breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, travel overland to the luxurious Kirawira Tented Camp, with a game drive en route. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing in your picturesque surroundings; the views from the camp are breathtaking and on a clear day Lake Victoria may be seem from the tented lounge. An evening game drive will be your introduction to this area of the Western Serengeti and its wildlife. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Kirawira Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 06 WESTERN SERENGETI
Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to further explore the area. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the camp Kirawira Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 07 SERENGETI / KILIMANJARO / NAIROBI
After breakfast, transfer to Grumeti Airstrip for the flight by light aircraft to Kilimanjaro (2 hours). On arrival you will be met by our representative and escorted to the international departures lounge. Clear immigration and customs and board th1-hour flight to Wilson airport, Nairobi The Grumeti airstrip is reached from the Kirawira Tented Camp by crossing a bridge over the Grumeti River. When the river is in flood this may not be possible, in which case you will be driven to the Seronera airstrip (100 km), where you will board the flight to Kilimajaro International Airport.
