The Safari Destination Tortilis Tented Camp

Tortilis tented camp is located in the Amboseli national park, approximately 260 kms takes 4 hours on road from Nairobi on the border of Kenya and Tanzania. Tortillas camp is named after the local acacia Tortillas tree, and is situated just outside the National park in an area of unspoiled woodland, with the stunning backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain and everpresent - Kilimanjaro!

Large spacious tents with thatched roof over the top, extending to a large private verandah where one can sit and relax and enjoy the magnificent views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

With Large king-size beds, elegant en-suite bathrooms with steaming hot showers and modern flush toilets.

Special features of the Tortilis Camp
Tortilis Camp is a fascinating rustic tented camp, sheltered by a natural forest of Acacia Tortilis thorn trees after which the camp is named. The trees and shrubs chime with bird life, the captivating scenery of the endless plains across to Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

 

Food & beverage facilities
There is a main lounge, bar and dining area, all exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs, with a magnificent view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli airstrip serviced by air-Kenya on daily scheduled flights and private charter.
