North Coast

North Coast is linked to Mombasa by the Nyali Bridge, the North Coast is easily accessible from Mombasa Island and offers long stretches of idyllic beaches fringed by swaying palm trees. The North Coast is a 70 kilometres stretch between Mombasa Island and Kilifi. Nyali, Vipingo, Kikambala and Shanzu beaches add up to the north coast and is home to a wide range of World Class resorts with famous for their fine cuisine and services.Mtwapa and Takaungu are peaceful beach haven that offers an ideal escape from the outside world, with endless deserted beaches.The gateway to the North Coast is Mombasa, although some visitors fly directly to Malindi. The Coastal highway runs north of Mombasa all the way to Kenya's northern frontier. Driving your own car or hired car as far as Malindi is very easy.

Both outer and inner reef walls offer world class diving with spectacular coral gardens and drop offs, and Kenya's best wreck diving on the MV Dania.          

On cultural tourism Jumba la Mtwana which translates to mansion of the slave. Apart from the name there is no evidence that this hideous crime against humanity was coastline was carried out in this serene 13th century swahili settlement was a slave trade centre. Rabai people of Jumba hold an annual cultural festival to celebrate their culture. There is a small museum in memory of the life of Ludwig Krapf a Christian Missionrary among the the first to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Africa. Jumba is located on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach, among giant baobab trees and rich foliage a perfect spot for a swim after a morning exploration. A vist to the Ngomongo Villages provides a glimpse at the cultural lifestyle of the coastal people. The village is made up of homesteads with a cultivation area, domestic animals, wildlife and even a Traditional medicine man.
