4 DAYS MAASAI MARA / LAKE NAKURU Lodge Safari

Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart Nairobi in the morning for Lake Nakuru National Park drive to the Great Rift Valley viewing sceneries en route arriving to the Lake Nakuru often referred as the pink lake due to its enormous numbers of Flamingos. Lunch is at the Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sarova Lion Hill followed by afternoon game drives in the Park with numerous Animals. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
 
Lake Nakuru is a shallow strongly alkaline lake set in a picturesque landscape on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The lakes fame is anchored on its flamingos and the over 400 species of birds found here. During the peak season millions flamingos congregate on the lake plus half a million pelicans. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink due to the swathes of pinky like ribbon adorning the lake fringes. The Lake Nakuru National Park is an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons live here.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Depart the camp soon after breakfast and drive via the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara. Lunch at lodge before proceeding for evening gamedrives.Dinner and overnight stay at a Mara Sarova /Keekorok
 
Day 3: Maasai Mara
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5.Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge
 

The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya that offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is almost unbelievable that over 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species recorded on the reserve. A visitor may hardly misses to see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures

Day 4: Maasai Mara- Nairobi
Morning game drive then returns to the Lodge for breakfast. We drive back to Nairobi where the safari ends.
