Leopard Rock Lodge Meru

The Leopard Rock Lodge, built on a tropical river bank is a grand Upmarket Safari Lodge situated in the wilderness the Meru National park on the Equator. To get to this magnificent lodge by road, leopard rock is situated 310km away from Nairobi the capital city of Kenya and north east of Mount Kenya Africa’s second highest snow capped peaks.  Leopard Rock Lodge is an ecological Lodge built the tenet of which respects sustainable development  with the intention to maintain the authenticity of this wild area which stretches to Somalia, Ethiopia and the Indian Ocean.

Meru National Park has a wide variety of Landscapes and environment on the Equator. Woodlands, marsh and Savannah are transversed by 15 permanent rivers whose source is the volcanic Nyambene Hills flowing into the Tana River in the Southern end of the park. The park is a low altitude area ranging 110m to 1100m above sea level. Meru National park has many wildlife such as Elephants, Black and white Rhinos, reticulated Giraffes, Buffalos, Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, common and Grevy's Zebra's, waterbucks, Grant Gazelles, Lesser Kudu, Bush buck, Warthogs baboons, Monkeys, several dik diks, oryx, Gerenuks, Hartebeests, Somali Ostriches, Hippo, Crocodiles, Snakes and over 300 bird species.
