Oldoinyo la Satima which means 'the mountain of the young bull' is 4,001 meters (13,120 feet) is the highest peak in the Aberdare Range while Mount Kenya with (5,199 m, 17,057 ft), is the second highest mountain in Africa after Kilimanjaro, lies several kilometres east of the Aberdare Range. Mt Longonot Mt Longonot is a dormant volcano whose awe-inspiring crater is a haven of wildlife. The sides of the mountain have V-shaped valleys and ridges. Menengai Crater, Kenyas largest Caldera is an extinct volcano, 8km north of Nakuru. The summit is 2,300 m above sea level; the Rotary Club of Nakuru has erected a signpost that shows various directions and distances to places in the world that including Mt. Kilimanjaro, Cape Town, London, Cairo and Mecca.
