The Kenya government has invested Sh466 million to refurbish KICC, and improved the capacity now to hold 10,000 delegates in eight meeting rooms. The KICC future plans are to be building a 5-star hotel and relaunch the 28th floor revolving restaurant, and an in-house shopping mall. In June 2007, KICC was re-admitted to the International Congress and Convention Centre (ICCA) and Association Internationale Des Palais De Congres (AIPCA)
