MT. Kenya for 4 Days THE BEST OF MT. KENYA TREKKING (NARO MORU - CHOGORIA) Climbing the Second highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kenya is a challenge requiring extensive mountain climbing skills. To climb to the highest peaks, Batian and Nelion, one requires ropes, ice-axes and other specialized climbing gear. The two peaks can be attempted by experienced climbers. Non-experienced climbers have managed to reach point Lenana 4,970 meters ( 16,300ft) commonly called the "Tourist Peak". Nevertheless, most visitors are able to reach the more accessible Point Lenana at 4985m and many visitors enjoy the simple high altitude walks.

KENYA TREK (NARO MORU - CHOGORIA) DAY 1: NAIROBI / NARO MORU Leave Nairobi to Naro Moru arriving at lunchtime. After lunch proceed to Naro Moru Park Gate and start hiking from this point to the Metrological Station Altitude 3050m Above Sea Level, a distance of 9 km, which takes 4 hours. Dinner and overnight spent at a camp at Metrological Station.
DAY 2: Metrological Station - MACKINDERS' CAMP After breakfast, continue ascent to Mackinders Camp for dinner and overnight. We walk for 6-7 hrs to Mackinders camp Altitude 4300m we walk for 10 hours to the moutain Bandas 3000m
DAY 3: ATTEMPT LENANA POINT Wake up at around 2.30 am and attempt Point Lenana via Austrian Hut. After Point Lenana at 4985m descend down to Mintos Hut for breakfast, then continue further down to Mountain Bandas with picnic lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight at the Bandas.
DAY 4: CHOGORIA / NAIROBI After an early breakfast, leave the mountain via the bamboo forest to Chogoria village. After lunch, take your transport back to Nairobi where the tour ends.
