Day 1 Nairobi On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Norfolk Hotel.
Day 2 Nairobi- Karen Blixen's House, the Giraffe Centre and Daphne Sheldrick's animal orphanage. Today you will have a half day tour visiting Karen Blixen's House of "Out of Africa fame", the Giraffe Centre and Daphne Sheldrick's animal orphanage.
Day 3 Nairobi Overnight at Norfolk Hotel. on a full board basis.
Day 4 Nairobi - Sabuk Lodge This morning you drive to the Wilson Airport Where you board a flight to Nanyuki and then on to Sabuk. Sabuk is remote and beautiful, an alluring haven on the edge of the Northern Frontier District. Its five double guest cottages overlook the Ewaso Nyiro River and the plains of Laikipia towards Mount Kenya.
Day 5 and 6 At Sabuk Lodge. The next two days will be spent at Sabuk Lodge. The region nurtures exceptional wildlife and cultural diversity, home to many ethnic communities including the Laikipiak Maasai and the Samburu tribes. Around Sabuk the area is wild and hilly, with dense acacia bush, Greater Kudu, Reticulated Giraffe, buffalo, impala, elephant, klipspringer, zebra, eland, dikdik, waterbuck, lion, leopard, great bird-watching and incredible scenery. Enjoy walks along the river, accompanied by the local Laikipiak Maasai guides, picnics in the shade by the river, a refreshing dip in the natural rock pools below camp or just basking on the main deck overlooking the plains. Sabuk is also the base for full walking and camel safaris.
Day 7 Sabuk- Masai Mara Today you depart for Masai Mara and travel on to Elephant Pepper Camp. This traditional safari camp is idyllic, shaded by an indigenous forest of mature trees the camp looks out on an endless vista of plains, game and the open plains characteristic of this magnificent Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Day 8 and 9 Elephant Pepper Camp. Two full days spent at the world's most Eminent game reserve.The six traditional safari tents are very comfortable and spacious with en-suite hot showers, washroom and dressing area. Here you leave the modern world behind and relax with nature, evenings bathed in the soft light of hurricane lamps, no generators, no vehicles passing, just the sights and sounds of the African bush... Day 10 Maasai Mara - Mada Island Today you will be transferred to the Mara Airstrip for your flight to Wilson and on to Lamu.Tropical Indian ocean snow-white sandy beaches, laze or dip in the warm azure blue waters. Day 11-13 Manda Bay Resort. Manda Bay Resort is a small private lodge on Manda Island in northern Kenya's Lamu Kiwayu archipelago. Ten spacious cottages line the beach overlooking the calm waters of Manda Bay. Surrounded by magnificent coral gardens, empty beaches and indigenous woodland, Manda Bay Resort is a glorious destination for both active and leisurely holidays. Its sheltered mangrove creek and the calm waters are ideal for water skiing. Guests can ski at high tide, yet just outside the creek there is generally enough breeze for sailing, wind-surfing and kite-surfing. For keen sailors there are a variety of boats at your disposal. There are also of five motorboats for sight seeing, bird watching or snorkelling in the rich coral gardens close to the lodge.
