5 Days Masai Mara Nakuru Bird Watching and WildLife Safari Day

Day1: Nairobi –Lake Nakuru National park
Leave Nairobi at 0800 hrs and drive westwards to the Great Rift Valley with stop at the escarpment to viewing scenery. We arrive to the “Pink Lake” often referred so due to its Great masses of Flamingos in good time for lunch at your lodge with a full afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or similar

 

Lake Nakuru’s famous for its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. It’s a soda lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The sight of the millions of flamingos is quite a spectacle. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The park is an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here

 

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
We leave the lodge soon after breakfast on our way to Maasai Mara  arriving in good time for Lunch. Late afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge or Similar

Day 3 & 4: Masai Mara
Both days spent on an exploration expedition of the park in search of the big 5 savoring the myriad birdlife. Optional balloon safari may be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 425 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar


The Mara offers abundant wildlife and in such a variety that is almost unbelievable with over 450 species of animals having been recorded here. Lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant are easily seen. Perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place in the Mara. Millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate annually from the Serengeti in Tanzania searching for both water and pasture across the Kenya border.  On their heels are the predators of the savannah- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures pursuing prey.

Day 5: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Early morning game viewing drives before breakfast then drive back to Nairobi through Narok to arrive by 1400 hrs end of tour
