The Taita Hills Sanctuary is a privately owned game ranch operated by the Hilton Hotels International and is home to the Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge and the Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge. In comparison its giant neighbour Tsavo National Park, the sanctuary is tiny with an area of only 11,330 ha, but it is an ideal conservation area and a model to be emulated by other, with its own game warden & rangers and at times has plenty of wildlife. Elephant and lion are resident and buffalo and cheetah are easily found.

I Day Mombasa-Taita Hills

Day 1
Leave early in the morning before sunrise and to Taita Hills, a privately owned game sanctuary.
Enjoy game viewing in the sanctuary this afternoon. Overnight spent Salt Lick Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 2 Taita Hills - Mombasa (B)
Return to Mombasa after breakfast, arriving later on in the afternoon.
